Rigo Butandu

Rigobert’s legal journey started in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where he earned his law degree and built early experience navigating the complex legal systems of a country undergoing significant change. Over time, his career took a global shape earning an LL.M. in International Law in the U.S., becoming registered with the California State Bar, and later adding an MBA focused on technology and business strategy.

For more than two decades, Rigobert has advised U.S.-based businesses operating across borders, particularly in the DRC. He’s negotiated multi-million dollar joint ventures, led legal teams in oil and gas, and helped companies align strategy with compliance in one of the world’s most challenging markets.

Fluent in both French and English, Rigobert is known for his ability to bridge gaps between languages, legal systems, and business cultures.
